Wedding Photography in and Around Saint Louis,MO.
St. Louis is a vibrant city, exuding midwest charm
There are literally hundreds of exciting, world-famous locations to have your wedding photographs made.
And best of all, most of them are free of charge to use. Take a drive downtown, or cruise through hundreds of parks,
and daydream about where your perfect wedding photographs can be made.
After nearly 4 decades of photographing weddings, I have yet to run out of new places to discover.
The St. Louis arch, and the arch grounds, are great place to start. Dating from the 1960s, the arch has been the great symbol of St. Louis, and the arch grounds, with its reflecting ponds, and towering titanium Gateway Arch, are recognizable around the world.
Kiener Plaza, minutes from the arch, is a dazzling combination of waterfalls, fountains, statuary, and is backdropped by the Gateway Arch, and the historic old courthouse.
Forest Park, dating from the 1901 Worlds Fair,
stands as one of the largest, most beautiful parks in the United States.
The Muny,(the Municipal Opera) boasts classic architecture, beautiful water features complete with bridges, fountains, and unique structures. The Grand Basin, has a spectacular display of fountains, bridges, and landscaping, all set in the foreground of the world-famous History Museum. Add in the Jewel Box,the world's fair Pavilion, and other amazing locations, it all adds up to a one-of-a-kind wedding photography playground that should not be missed.
The world renowned Botanical Gardens provide acres and acres of breathtaking landscapes, and dreamy scenes, perfect for your wedding photographs. Take a walk through someday, holding hands with your fiancé, and imagine your fantasy wedding photos, and then make it come true.
Tower Grove Park is another don't miss location
to put on your list. A huge, privately owned park,it boasts almost endless opportunities
for stunning wedding photographs. The famous ruins, and surrounding Lake, fountains,
and reflecting ponds,
be sure to visit the Piper Palm House when you go, which is another fabulous location to hold a wedding ceremony.
Don't forget to include Carondelet Park, with its beautiful lake and docks, as a possible location for your photographs.
Carondelet Park is an often overlooked, but excellent location to have your photographs made.
If you're a baseball fan, be sure to think about
the exterior of Busch Stadium, although not very wedding-esq, it offers unique
St. Louis-based opportunities for the sports minded newlyweds.
Also, The College Church is almost castle like, perfect photos in the Summer months.
Dont forget the DeMenil Mansion, for a possible ceremony location, (if you like a bit of gothic horror to go with your wedding,it's reputed to be haunted) with the Lemp Grand Hall just a block away, for a reception possibility.
